Easter Event

Original text on 18 April 2006:
Surprise! Surprise! Finally there will be an actual event! The Easter Event will be started three days after the Easter. =_=" Anyway, it's still better than none at all. Will this event be a mirror copy of the Japanese version's? Or will Softstar do some changes to it? We'll find out soon. Woo, I'm eager for this.

Update on 20 April 2006:

Spoiler Warning!!!

Image

I activated my event by talking to the priest. Then I got my first clue from the London clown.

Image

Hmm... North of Black Muddy Water? Let's see...

Image

Aha! Dublin means "Black Muddy Water". Bingo. So up I went.

Image

Tata. My first Easter Egg.

Update on 21 April 2006:
Image

The Seville Clown mentioned west of the Barbari pirates hideout. Now, if you have played the Uncharted Waters series, you would know immediately where the hideout is. Woo, my UW: Side Stories pirate character used to return to Alger.

Image

This time a green one.

Update on 22 April 2006:
Image

Next to the battlefield between Portugal and Spain? My history is not that great, you know. Initially this has baffled another two guild members. Then a friend invited me to go to the site together (after he got the answer from a website). Sigh... At first I planned to do some deductions myself when I have more time.

Update on 24 April 2006:
Port Checklist:
A. Ports with Clown (that I haven't visited)
- Marseilles
- Cape
- Calicut

B. Ports without Clown (that have been confirmed)
- Polymoth
- Dublin
- Getherland
- Amsterdam*
- Faro
- Valencia
- Barcelona
- Genoa
- Calvi
- Napoli
- Tunisia
- Tripoli
- Casablanca
- Shirakusa
- Ragusa
- Ancona
- Zadal
- Trieste
- Athens
- St. Georges
- Saotome
- Rwanda
- Caribibite

My guess is there should be one in Venice and one in the Caribbeans. Amsterdam logically should have one. Maybe he's hiding somewhere. Of course all the above were not confirmed by me alone. Thanks to my two other friends who helped.

Update on 25 April 2006:
Image

=_=" Fancy me. Little girl, are you sure that your clothes were washed away by the waves? You better hide yourself while I go look for them.

Image

Luckily a nice guy found the clothes near Zadal.

Image

And along with the clothes, there was a blue Easter Egg. Now if I'm evil, I could just leave since I've got the Easter Egg already. But of course I'm a good girl. ;P

Image

You'd better put your clothes somewhere safe next time.

p/s I saw Victoria. Isn't she beautiful?

Image

Update on 2 May 2006:
Image

I actually bumped into this hungry clown in Oport accidentally. You want boiled egg? Sure. Let me boil you one.

Image

Now that you are no longer hungry, maybe we could talk. ;)

Image

A sad girl in the land of soap? The land of soap? Never heard of such place. But if the soap refers to fragrance or perfume, you would immediately think of France.

Image

Not sure why this barn girl is so sad. But at least I got my egg. :P

Update on 4 May 2006:
I've decided that I should set sail for India and visit the clown over there.

Image

What to do? Have to get this guy a red gem.

Image

The landing point in the furthest east? Go. Go. Go.

Image

I must have missed something. I sailed nearly to Malaysia, or Malaya at that time, and there is still no landing point in sight. My rations is nearly not enough, so I have to return.

Image

After searching for the coordinates of the landing point, I set off on my second trial.

Image

Finally got the egg. But a blue one again?! Sigh...

Update on 6 May 2006:
Image

Well, usually I'm full first when I spend at the Hamburg bar. Too bad I can't pull you out to the sea and freshen you up. So I have to leave you alone, for now.

Image

So when I saw someone peddling drunk medicine, of course I bought one even though it was pricey.

Image

Finally this drunk clown managed to speak clearly. >_<

Image

So up, up, up I went. Luckily I've searched for the coordinates of this place before.

Update on 9 May 2006:
Image

Wow. Fancy talking about hiding your Easter Egg in front of me. Since that place is so dangerous, why don't you just pass that egg to me?

Image

I'm not your driver, you know. =_="

Image

Finally we are back in Lisbon.

Image

Seriously, anyone got any spare red eggs to exchange?

Update on 10 May 2006:
As what I replied Mellow, I only realized that the ending date for this event was today when people have been complaining about missing NPCs yesterday. =_=" So if anyone has wondered why my pace was still so slow while the ending date was coming nearer and nearer, you now know the reason. >_<

Luckily Softstar has announced yesterday afternoon that they will fix the bug today and extend the event to 17 May 2006. However... yesterday morning when everything was in a heat, I had read up on the walkthrough. T^T

If nothing unforeseen pops up, I think this time I should be able to finish it up before the ending date.

Update on 12 May 2006:
Image

So you want perfume?

Image

Seems like an easy clue to get. And the place is not too far too.

Image

No Easter Egg?! How dare you to give me a false clue?!

Image

Are you trying to act surprised? If there is a complaint centre for clown performance, you know who I am going to report.

Image

Are you really sure you gave it away as a present? Be thankful that I can't shake your shoulders.

Image

Fancy forcing her to accept the egg when she doesn't even want it.

Image

Finally a red egg!

Update on 13 May 2006:
Image

This guy is playing hard to catch. Never mind. I'll come back later.

Image

I'll be back, again.

Image

Finally he is willing to open up his mouth.

Image

Image

Image

Nice red egg!

Update on 15 May 2006:
Image

This old man is asking for medicine. I can spare you one. (But I don't think it can't be used that way.)

Image

A travelling alchemist? No more chance to find out what is the story behind it any more.

Image

Image

Now, if you are cold, you shouldn't be out in the open. Then I don't need to return to England to get you some whisky.

Image

The foreign prince mentioned is the African Prince in Lisbon.

Image

I've been wondering whether the answer could be gotten from inside the game alone. And yes, there is a quest mentioning the Congo Prince who is also a Christian.

Image

p/s He loves red beans.

Update on 16 May 2006:
Image

I recently just finished the Suez Clue. Although the mapping system at the era of Great Sea Voyage may not be that advanced yet, but I think I know a little about how the merchants and travellers felt at the short land distance between the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea. The clown just went inland to hide the egg and I had to sail across two Continents to get it.

Image

I nearly forgot about this place.

Image

He wished to leave Alger safely so he asked for something that can stop pirates.

Image

This guy must be having an affair with the pirates. He hid the egg in the pirates-roaming Black Sea! And he was scared of the pirates of Alger. =_="

Image

Update on 17 May 2006:
Regarding the San Juan clue, it really beated me.

Image

I talked to every NPC in the Caribbeans but in vain. Searching for the Day of Atonement gave me the Yom Kippur War. After reference to the walkthrough, I found out that it actually refers to the 10th Guild House in Istanbul.

Image

Image

Regarding the number 10, I think either it referred to the Yom Kippur War fought in October, or the date of the Day of Atonement on 10th Tishri. In the end I still didn't know what the clue actually referred to.

And with this, ended all the 15 places of the Easter Event.

Would it be possible to just link to the images? It's a bit annoying to have the images all fill while loading the page ^^;
