Pre-Closed Beta Trial
Playing with words is not fun, when I'm at the other end. After a few more re-read of the announcement by Softstar, it's actually about a pre-closed beta trial.
The testing account which I was yahooing previously is for a pre-closed beta trial starting 5 November 2005 to 15 November 2005. I've been looking around to see whether there's any news on how to get hold of an account for the actual closed beta starting 15 November 2005 in vain.
However seaboy mentioned that currently it's not confirmed that the pre-closed beta trial account will stop working after 15 November 2005. In other words, you could consider closed beta starts 5 November 2005. I hope this is true. :D
jasonc70 revealed more on the beta testing system of Softstar. Apparently beta testers are categorized into two groups: normal and advanced. Usually they would beta test at different servers. I don't think I would a qualified advanced beta tester. For the NAO betas, I don't specifically go and test all the extreme cases, I just report whatever bugs that meet me. I wanna have fun. I'll see how when more news is released.
Update:
It's been confirmed that the pre-closed beta trial account will work for the closed beta too. So now I'm crossing my finger hoping that my new comp will arrive before 5 November 2005. I so wanna watch the benchmark program and the trailer. >_<
