My Take on Real Money Trading

When we were young, we take what our elders told us without questions. No playing by the road, no fighting, no talking to strangers, etc. Then later we begin to question with why and why not. When we develop and form our own reasoning, our decisions may change.

Koei has set the rule of no real money trading. They may or may not have stated their reasons since I don't understand Japanese. However no matter what the rules are, most of us know that there still exists a (thriving?) black market.

While the black market used to be very much in the dark, things have heaten up with advertisements on EBay and the emergence of niche sites such as this one where you could even do a detailed price comparison before your shopping!

What is the actual situation in Japan and Korea? When GVO finally does hit Taiwan, North America and Europe, how rampant would real money trading be? How could Koei and the game operators coordinate their efforts across the different versions?

I would try to study more on real money trading and discuss it using the GVO context based on insights gained from this extremely long and in-depth academic discussion on RMT. You could try to read it up if you have the patience. :P Anyway, I would appreciate it if you join along with the conversation.

So stay tuned.
