I've just found out more information on the feature reduced inter-player trading system for free trials.
Apparently free trials could also open up stalls and trade, but you could only receive stuff from full accounts. So it is still possible to help your friends who are interested in the game by giving the free trials some inventory. However no more acting as middle man or walking storehouse so the RMT channel stops half-way.
