Still Just a Rumor?

with 3 flag signals and 1 trackbacks.

From time to time, there were posts mentioning that the Taiwan version for GVO has been outsourced to this and that company. With no concrete evidence to back up the story, people should just take it with a pinch of salt.

I first saw the post that there will be a news release during the coming Taiwan computer carnival over here. Since there is no more further update, I thought it is just a rumor. However over last few days, there are numerous postings saying the Taiwan version will be handled by Softstar Entertainment Inc.

The rule of thumb for journalists is to confirm a lead from three different sources. There were more than three persons mentioning they saw the GVO logo appeared on the Softstar website for the coming Taiwan computer carnival. However when I went to have a look, the logo has disappeared.

There are a few speculations on the disappereance of the GVO. I shall quote what wanleung, the Gamebase GVO forum moderator, said.

Originally the Joypark website mentioned the voyage would start on 23 July but now it has disappeared. The possiblities are 1. to build a hype 2. a slip up by the website promotion team 3. sudden hiccups appeared making meeting the deadline not possible 4. there will only be a press release on 23 July

No matter what, 23 July 2005 is a date to watch out for.

What introducion would be better than from someone who has played the game? I'll ask my friends inside NAO since I've heard them mentioned it before. :)

OK. Here's what I've found out. 魔力寶貝 is a turn-based RPG game by ENIX. (The English name is directly translated into Magic Baby.) You choose a class and train yourself through fights and quests. The specialty of this game is you may keep pets, each with different kinds of special abilities.

If you have any more questions, I can help you to shoot them at my friends. :P
