GVO and NAO: Production Mode
There are two main skill sytems in Nobunaga's Ambition Online (NAO): the fighting system and the production system. You can only earn the skill points for the fighting skills during fights, and vice versa. I've read one forumer mentioning that the production systems in both GVO and NAO are the enemies of your keyboard.
I don't know about GVO, so I'll speculate about it later. For NAO, you could only produce item by item. First of all, you select the item that you wish to produce. (One Enter) Then the system asks you whether you wish to produce the selected item. You confirmed. (Two Enters). After that the system tells you you have produced one item, displaying the details of the item. (Three Enters) Next comes the display of the amount of skill points you have earned. (Four Enters) Finally the display of the experience points you have earned. (Five Enters) There you go, you have just produced one item. And there are still thousands more to go.
Five Enters per item will simply wear out your keyboard/mouse very quickly. Okay, maybe there are two workarounds. One, You just weigh down your Enter key. I haven't try this myself since I want to watch out for any exceptional goods that I managed to produce. Two, use the macro of your joystick. I don't own one so I'm not sure how good is it.
For GVO, I'm not sure whether every class could produce. Definitely the merchants will produce a lot of goods. I'm not sure whether the production process is similar to NAO. If yes, then I could only say I have been trained. >_<
However there is also a post saying that the latest Japanese NAO version has updated / will update the production system. The system will check how much material you have and produce the maximum amount of goods that you could carry. If this is true, then it definitely is wonderful news.

I'll describe how my friend converts fish into fishmeat (a very lucrative trade):
1. Click on skill button.
2. Double-Click on the Recipe book.
3. Double-Click on the specific Recipe for fish.
4. Rapidly click on the "produce" button until out of skill points (He completely ignores the popup messages telling him how many he created).
Are you ok from the taifuu (台風)?
OK. So maybe we should look into whether Koei has any secret deals with keyboard and mouse manufacturers... orz
BTW, I'm not in the region of the taifuu path so I'm quite safe and sound. Thanks for asking. :)
My Taiwanese friends from NAO had yesterday (Monday in Taiwan) as a holiday and stayed online the whole day. From what they mentioned, it's all strong wind and heavy downpour and instant noodles but I guess generally everything is still all right since they could still enjoy the game. Today is no longer a holiday so maybe the danger is nearly over.
